Once inside, bats create:
Bat problems never resolve on their own — colonies return each season unless the home is sealed professionally.
We locate all:
Then we provide you with a quote for sealing up the structure and removing the bats by using step #2 below. Once quote is accepted, then we can schedule the work
Bats exit safely but cannot return.
This is the only legal method in Iowa during active seasons.
We seal your entire roofline, soffits, fascia, vents, gables, and weak areas to prevent re-entry.
Only IF needed, we remove guano, sanitize the area, and protect your insulation and wood. Most guano accumulations in house attics are very minor and not a danger.
You get long-term protection and peace of mind.
Professional exclusion is the only reliable, legal, and long-term solution.
We solve the problem once, not year after year.

We have an inspection fee for a couple reasons. One is because we use it to gauge the seriousness of the person that is calling looking to have the bats removed. $195.00 of the fee is taken off the top of the quote should you use our service. The second reason is that we are very busy doing bat removal & bird control. Adding appointments does take a little away from being able to get to these services for our existing clients and it covers our time as the average bat inspection takes 30 min to 1 hour to do effectively.
This is a very hard question for us to answer, my best response is it is like giving a haircut over the phone...just doesn't work. Each building is different whether commercial, residential, or industrial. Gaps 1/2" or larger must be inspected and sealed to prevent re-entry of bats and entries that are existing need one way bat valves installed. During the inspection all these will be taken into account as well as access to those areas like ladder or aerial lift needed and the steepness of the roof all play a factor in the total cost. Our minimum base cost is $850.00 plus tax. The range goes from $850 and up depending on the factors above. Typical ranges for residential homes goes from $850.00 plus tax up to $4,000.00-$5,000.00 plus tax depending on size and amount of work required. It is best to have the inspection done to determine the scope of your bat problem so that an accurate estimate can be given.
We have 1 year warranties on every bat removal job we do except limited warranty on roofs with clay tile or wood shake shingles. Additional year warranties are available and cost will be determined at the time of the inspection. They vary from $99.00 up to $399.00 per extra year.
1 year warranty is on the repair work done to seal up home from bat re-entry into the structure. The warranty starts the day we do the seal up of the house and adding the bat removal exit tubes (valves). These allow any remaining bats inside the attic or walls to exit the structure but not re-enter. Warranty includes re-inspection of the structure and any more seal up that may be needed that was missed during the initial seal up. If the house is damaged after our work by some other act weather or people related...the warranty does not apply to those areas the damage has effected. If customer gets new work done to the house and replaces materials on the home like a new roof, soffit, fascia, trim, vents, etc. the warranty is void for bat re-entry after seal up work is completed initially. Additional 1 year warranty is available at a cost of $299.00 per year. This must be requested and paid for to be activated.
There can be many areas of possible access for bats around a house
Homes in Central Iowa offer the perfect environment for roosting:
Once inside, bats settle into attics, wall cavities, and roof structures where temperatures remain stable — especially during winter months.
If even one bat enters the living area, it is usually a sign that a colony exists somewhere inside the structure.

Yes. Species such as Big and Little Brown Bats commonly overwinter inside attics, walls, and rooflines. They enter spaces that provide warmth and shelter during cold weather and may become active during temperature swings.
Bats can enter through tiny gaps around rooflines, open soffits, attic vents, construction gaps, chimney flashing, ridge caps, and fascia cracks. These small openings — often as little as 3/8 inch wide — allow bats to squeeze in.
No. Once a bat colony establishes itself inside a structure, it typically returns each season and will not resolve the problem on its own without professional exclusion and sealing.
Professional bat removal starts with a full exterior inspection to locate all entry points and areas of bat activity. One-way exclusion devices are installed so bats can exit but cannot re-enter. Once all openings are identified, remaining gaps are sealed to prevent future infestations.
Exclusion devices allow bats to exit safely while preventing re-entry. This method is the only legal and humane approach in most states during active seasons and avoids harming bats.
Timing varies depending on colony size and structure access, but typically bats will exit within a few days to a few weeks after proper exclusion installation. A professional assessment provides a clearer timeline.
Bats can carry diseases and should never be handled by untrained individuals. Professional bat removal technicians use proper safety equipment and techniques to protect both people and animals during the exclusion process.
If exclusion points are not fully sealed, bats can return. Permanent exclusion involves sealing all gaps, vents, soffits, and other openings after the bat colony has exited.
To begin, schedule a professional inspection. The technician will evaluate your structure, locate all entry points, provide a removal quote, and outline the steps needed for exclusion and long-term protection.
